From Coordinator to Project Manager:
My Journey at KreaSpecs

A New Direction

I graduated from Mahidol University International College (MUIC) with a BBA in Finance. My first job was as a coordinator in a software development company, so when I saw an opening for a Marketing Coordinator at KreaSpecs, I was interested, but also unsure. I did not have a marketing background, and at that time, when I thought about a marketing agency, I mostly thought about content, branding, creative, and advertising campaigns. It was quite different from my field of study and work experience.

But coordination was something I already knew. To be honest, I was not even sure if a marketing agency would consider someone without a marketing degree or direct experience, but I applied, got the opportunity and joined KreaSpecs.

Looking back, changing industries taught me much more than marketing. I started learning about project management, websites, technology, clients, teamwork and eventually leadership as well.

Learning the Language of Every Team

Coordination involves much more than passing information between a client and an internal team. I must understand how the company works, who is responsible for each area and who is best equipped to handle a particular task or problem.

It also means learning how different specialists communicate. When working with designers, I needed to understand terms such as hero sections, banners and favicons. When speaking with developers, I had to learn about responsiveness, technical errors and website functionality. In marketing, I became familiar with leads, campaigns, analytics and performance.

This made communication much easier. Sometimes a client asks for something that sounds very simple, but behind that request there may be several tasks for different people. Instead of just forwarding the message, I had to understand what the client actually wanted, check what was possible and then explain it clearly to the right person.

People often say communication is one of the most important skills for a coordinator or project manager. I agree, but for me, listening comes first. I need to listen to what management expects, what the client is really asking for and what the team can actually deliver. After that, I can understand the situation better and decide what the next step should be.

From Coordinator to Project Manager

After around six months at KreaSpecs, my role changed from coordinator to project manager. By then, I understood the team better, had become familiar with our clients and had gained practical knowledge from managing different types of work.

The promotion brought more ownership and responsibility. The difference was not simply a new title. As a coordinator, there were decisions I could not make, or sometimes did not yet feel confident enough to make. As a project manager, I was trusted to assess situations, set priorities and make decisions that would keep projects moving.

It felt a little like being handed a sword. It represented authority and trust, but also the responsibility to use both carefully. I understood that my performance had shown the company I was capable of more. That trust made me more confident, while also reminding me to think carefully about the impact of each decision.

Projects cannot always wait for someone else to approve every detail. Sometimes I need to review the available information, consider the risks and decide on the best way forward. Learning to do this has been one of the most important parts of becoming a project manager.

A Culture That Keeps Moving Forward

One quality I admire at KreaSpecs is its growth mindset. The management, is always exploring ways to improve how we work. The Management is open to AI, automation and new digital tools, and looks for practical ways to apply them to real projects.

This environment has allowed me to keep learning. I developed a deeper understanding of SEO and how we can optimize clients’ websites. I learned how automation can reduce repetitive work and where it can be implemented responsibly. I also saw the value of offering clients different solutions instead of assuming that one tool will suit everyone.

The Agency never seems to stop improving. There is always something new to explore, whether it is a tool, a system, a new service or a better way of working. That mindset has influenced me as well. It taught me that even when something already works, there may still be a better way to do it.

Putting People at the Centre

Technical knowledge matters, but many skills eventually become part of a routine. What stands out to me more is how much the people around you affect the way you work, learn and grow.

This is something I have experienced at KreaSpecs. The company gives people room to work independently, but at the same time, I have never felt left out or unsupported. There is flexibility, trust and a willingness to listen when someone has a different situation or need.

I saw this clearly during my first month, when I explained that I was preparing for the TOEFL test. The agency offered me the option to work 80 percent so I would have more time to study. I did not expect that, especially as a new employee, and it left a strong impression on me. It showed me that the company looks at people as more than just their role or output.

That kind of environment makes a difference. When people feel trusted and supported, they are more comfortable taking responsibility, sharing ideas and growing into bigger roles. For me, this has been an important part of my experience at KreaSpecs and one of the reasons I have been able to develop with the company.

Growing With KreaSpecs

Working at KreaSpecs has allowed me to grow across design, technology, marketing and management. Every project brings something new, whether it involves a client relationship, a technical challenge or a decision about how to guide the team.

I was surprised and proud to be promoted to manager at only 24, with around two years of corporate working experience. For me, this showed that KreaSpecs does not only look at how many years of experience someone has, but also at their skills, performance and potential. More than the title itself, I value the trust behind it. I am grateful that the company recognised what I could do and gave me the space to prove myself.

That trust motivates me to keep performing well, continue learning and show that the decision was the right one. My journey has taught me that growth does not begin with knowing everything. It begins with listening, staying curious, taking responsibility and being willing to step into a bigger role when the opportunity comes.
