Making Complex Ideas Clear

This non-profit research organization, based in Sweden, works with international partners on environmental sustainability, climate resilience and water security in Southeast Asia.

Through initiatives in the Mekong Region, the organization supports research and regional collaboration on environmental and development challenges.

KreaSpecs has supported its communication activities through publication design, campaign materials, educational motion graphics and website design.

Strategy, Reports & Publication Design

We have designed strategy books, vision guides, reports and research publications for the organization’s regional initiatives.

Our work includes organizing research findings, policy information and project data into layouts that are easier to navigate and reference. Depending on the publication, this involves editorial design, infographics, photography and custom page formats.

For one strategy publication covering activities from 2020 to 2024, we developed a format incorporating fold-out pages to accommodate additional information, timelines and project details.

Other assignments have included brochures and strategic guides combining research findings, regional photography and supporting graphics for use by project teams and international stakeholders.

Campaign & Project Communications

For environmental projects in the Mekong Region, we have developed campaign and conference materials covering river monitoring, climate resilience and related research initiatives.

One project involved designing a flyer introducing a satellite-based monitoring system for the Ayeyarwaddy River. The design used satellite imagery and supporting graphics to present the monitoring approach and explain its purpose.

These materials were developed for use at conferences and project events, where research findings and technical information needed to be presented to audiences with different backgrounds.

Educational Content & Motion Graphics

For an international online learning series covering gender and environmental management, we developed motion graphics and supporting visual assets.

The animations illustrated subjects including gender inequality, resource rights and political ecology, helping explain the course material through visual examples and structured sequences.

The content was developed for an educational setting, with the graphics supporting the information presented throughout the learning modules.

Sumernet Vision
Guide Design

The Vision Guide, defines Sumernet’s sustainability goals in the Mekong Region through 2028, with a cover emphasizing the river’s central role. Available on Sumernet’s website, this guide marks we continuous collaboration with Sumernet.

Sumernet Professional Brochure Design

We designed a professional brochure for Sumernet, integrating landscapes from Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam to illustrate the project’s regional impacts in 2018. The brochure features fold-out pages and a decorative poster that blends appealing visuals with informative project statistics.

Annual Report Design

We designed the Sumernet 2018 Annual Report to combine visual appeal with informative content. This A5 booklet featured vibrant diagrams and a clean layout to present Sumernet’s research impacts on Mekong region’s sustainable policies, ensuring readability and stakeholder engagement.

Website Design

We redesigned the website for one of the organization’s regional initiatives, focusing on navigation, content structure and visual design.

The updated website organizes research, publications and project information into clearer sections, making it easier for visitors to find material related to the initiative’s work across Southeast Asia.

Our work included revising the page structure and design approach to accommodate the different types of content published by the organization.
